Conn3ct You is a unique app with one of a kind software, this app will not only allow you to save dates and times from your Microsoft outlook but it will input dates for exams, quizzes and homework from blackboard into your Google calendar. How? The software will read the dates off syllabi and input them into a calendar that will automatically connect with your Google calendar.

Cloud computing will be vital to Conn3ctYou. Through the cloud we will be allow us to store information from Blackboard and in the Google calendar. Our company would save much money through cloud computing because it would not only store our customer individualistic information but will help us automatically connect different vital websites. The cloud would also contain security as a service for any information the client inputs into the software.

Network as a service would help to connect blackboards information to transport data to Google calendar. Thus bringing information directly to the customer and eliminating the hassle of inputting data themselves. Platform as a service would also be provided to offer applications that would allow our client to personalize their calendar (font, color, design).

Cloud computing will help to make Conn3ct You fast and easy to use. Everything will be simplified and personalized so that our customer will be comfortable with not only the information they put in but the way their data looks. They would be able to set their own reminders and integrate information as they please.

            Google with be Conn3ct You’s biggest competitor. It already contains a system where your email can directly access your calendar and share your calendar with other to set up meetings. Conn3ct You will thus partner with Google and make it so that Microsoft outlook can connect with Google calendar as well.

            The audience is different because outlook is usually used for college students and Google (gmail) is used for businesses). Conn3ct you will benefit Google and Microsoft because it will connect black board to the individuals calendar. This would enable college students to save time and have to input each exam, homework or quiz data manually into their calendars. 

            The app will also have a competitive advantage/use because if will connect will you alarm clock and remind you every morning the tasks you have for  the day, if you want you can me it so the app reminds you about the task you have throughout the day.

            One beneficial aspect of Conn3ct You is that many aspects of your day will be saved into Google calendar. If not send yourself and email with the date time and place than with a click of a button you can add the event. Conn3ct You will have a feature that allows you to share your calendar with whomever you choose.

             Since you can share your calendar the App with contain a feature called Meeting Organizer. This will scan the selected calendars for times where everyone is available and send them to the individuals for review. The main competitor for this feature will be Doodle. Doodle allows individuals to input the times they are free into a website and allows the organizer to choose the time. The main difference for this feature is that it will bring the information to you.

            We are in a society where individuals like information to be brought to them instead of doing more work and inputting information. That will give Conn3ct You the competitive advantage. Once times and dates are chosen Conn3ct You will offer a filter to take of times and dates so that the meeting times are within reason. 

Overall Conn3ct You will partner and gain a competitive advantage because it brings information to it customers. It wil save them time and provide convenience. Doodle will be a prime competitor until customers become more used to Connect You and trust the application. Once this application partners with google there will be no need to worry about the competition and will provide the company with the opportunity to grow and provide more features.

Project: To make Microsoft outlook compatible with androids and I phones calendars. The application will also create an alarm clock that enables the world to connect with you. Imagine waking up to daily news, horoscopes and even motivational messages! The application will come with daily notifications to remind you of upcoming meetings and even connect you with friends! You can send motivational messages before job interviews or reminders for group meetings. This app will be accessible to you at all times.

Because you will enable to send and receive information via internet the application will privatize it to provide security. Once you input data it would be stored in a location where your can only access it if you have a secure password. Once the data is deleted, new data will take up the spot and there will not be any traces of the old data. For the convenience of our customers we will have a pop up that describes how deleted data cannot be retrieved in anyway. Cloud would be the main access of saved items because phones have limited amounts of memory.

To video chat as well as use the sound card the software will connect with the appropriate aspects in the phone software. The app on the cell phone will act like a CPU, where information and be transmit information to other applications and access what our customer needs. For example you can connect with other peoples calendars to create a meeting, with the permission of the other user. This is done on Microsoft outlook but this application would make it so that it can be done on a cell phone.

My Idea: An alarm clock that enables the world to connect with you. Imagine waking up to daily news, horoscopes and even motivational messages! This alarm clock will come with daily notifications to remind you of upcoming meetings and even connect you with friends! You can send motivational messages before job interviews or reminders for group meetings. This app will be accessible to you at all times.

How does this connect to the material we covered in class?

Privacy will be key. The app will take a snap chat approach and enable vidoes/pictures to last for a limited amount of time. The only difference is that the technology will not allow downloading and screen shots. 

To organize all the data excel will be essential. All personalized data will be stored in excel. This will enable our company to analyze user usage to see what sites are popular or what the demand is and use it to our advantage. Excel will also enable us to organize our data and find similarities to promote certain adds to specific customers. 

This company will sweep every social media outlet to create awareness and demonstrate how this app is a necessity. Everyone will need this app and if they don't have it than they will miss out on an opportunity to stay up to date with technology. The app will not only be convenient but essential.
