What if you
had an alarm that instead of playing music, read your daily tasks and reminded
you of meetings or even updated you with daily news. This alarm will be
connected to your favorite Internet sites or daily organizer to help wake you
up with a purpose. This ultimate alarm will not only wake you up but prepare
you for your day as well as throughout your day.
This alarm
will be assessable to you at all times through your mobile device. You will
input your Google calendar or the URL of your favorite informative sites so
that the alarm can read the information. For example if I input the E news URL
or twitter handle I will wake up to a voice reading daily entertainment news. I
can also input my organizer/Google calendar/Gmail to read my daily tasks. This
alarm can even have your horoscope, daily motivational quote or whatever you
want because this alarm will be made for you by you.
There will
be multiple languages, dialects and accents available for you. You can choose
how long you want the snooze or make it so when you press snooze for the third
time it will automatically stay on. Now this is not all of the features, the app
also enables you to connect with other users who are utilizing this app. You can
send alarms to people, for example if multiple people had a meeting at 3pm you
can send that alarm/task to them as a reminder. This will add to the other
persons alarm schedule with their permission. You can also send fun videos or
voice recording to go off on someone else’s device. It can be an empower pop up
to a friend who is about to go into a job interview or even a birthday video
for a close friend.
This app
will enable college campuses to connect with students, offices to connect with
employees, and friends to connect with friend. It will not only be a way for
you to connect with the world but a way for the world to connect with you.
I love this idea! I especially like that you mentioned the snooze button, because I know I push the snooze button too many times each morning. It would be great to have a device that would keep going to actually make me wake up. But I do hope the voice feature will sound like a normal person, and not an actual robot's recording. In fact, why not hire people to read and record the morning memos, instead of using technology? I know I would throw my phone against the wall if I had to wake up to Siri's voice every morning.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the invention in "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" where she wakes up to a video of herself telling her what her tasks are for the day. This is definitely a useful invention! Especially since I think it is more motivation to wake up on time if you are confronted with your daily tasks rather than a regular alarm. I think the only issue is that it might be annoying if you share a room with a person.
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea, it is really creative. I get tired of the same songs waking me up everyday so to have something new and different each day like your horoscope will be much better. Would this app be available just for Iphones, Androids, Blackberrys or for everyone?
